What is Fibroblast?
Fibroblast are active, spindle or star-shaped cells in the dermis. Their function is to synthesize fibers, collagen and glycosaminoglycans. Fibroblasts have the main role in the dermis formation and are a key importance for normal growth, healing, wound healing and everyday physiological activities in all tissues and organs in the body.
What is Plasma and how does it work?
Plasma treatment uses the fourth state of matter which is plasma. The precise hand-held plasma pen device works by utilizing the ionize gases in the air to create a small electrical arch, like a lightning bolt. When the electrical arch-plasma-touches the skin surface, the heat widens the pores and is transferred into the epidermis all the way to the fibroblast cells. The result is contraction and tightening of the skin cells. The excess skin is reduced, and the result is skin contraction, wrinkle reduction and skin lifting.
What to expect after the Fibroblast Plasma treatment?
After the treatment, there will be small dry spots- scabs on the treated areas which will dry and usually fall off approximately 5-7 days. Skin will become swollen and tender to touch immediately after the treatment. Wait 2-3 hours after the treatment to wash treated area(s). Sunscreen can be applied the next day over the moisturizer when outside. Wear a hat or large brim hat for sun protection.
